Cabin in the Woods

Good evening!

Tomorrow the three fearless explorers will be getting up extra early to walk to the bus terminal on the other side of Valparaiso, then catch a bus to Santiago, then ride the metro from one end of the city to the other, and then catch a bus to the small city of San Alfonso in the Cajon del Maipo which is almost in the Andes Mountains in order to spend the weekend roasting hotdogs and s'mores over a fire in a cabaña in the woods!

If you think that's a little crazy then you're probably right, but we're going to do it anyway because we're young and reckless and crazy is what we do best. Plus we may never be in Chile again and in a few years, we'll be old enough to know better (maybe).

Wish us luck! Hopefully my favorite outdoorsmen Steve and Kareem will know a thing or two about starting fires. If there's one thing I've learned, it's that (tight jeans aside) these are two very capable young men and I am quite confident of our survival. So we are signing out until Sunday night! Hopefully we'll have some great pictures to post!

Kareem Wearing Steve's Pants

Opps, I dropped my pencil. Can you pick it up for me Kareem? Thank you.

EDIT: Kareem says that no one understands this caption so I will elaborate. Kareem was wearing Steve's pants in this picture because his only pair of jeans were in the wash. They were a tad tighter than the pants he is normally accustomed to and I tricked him into posing for this photo by pretending to drop my pencil and asking him to pick it up. I can't believe we didn't get any comments on this. Not one.
