Hola!
Today, went to school. Our teacher was about 45 min late because he thought we were staying in the mountains until today. Or maybe he thought we'd be eaten by bears. Anyway, we learned commands so we were studying that earlier todday and watching movies in Spanish at the same time of course. We went to the market for food after lunch and picked up some ice cream as well. There is an orange-colored, mystery fruit-flavored ice cream that seems to be pretty popular here, but we weren't brave enough to try it, so we just got chocolate. Kareem has been eating it like it doesn't go straight to his hips, but he is also on the Valparaiso exercise plan, so maybe he'll still look decent by the time the carton is finished. Only time will tell.
We're also making plans for Janet's imminent departure this Thursday. She will be returning to the United States Friday around noon. Steve's Dad very kindly offered to pick her up! Thank you Steve's Dad!!
If it's a nice day tomorrow, we may walk to the open market for some fruit. Janet also has to buy a towel. It's a long story and it was her fault. We are not really sure where to buy towels here, so we'll have to figure that out as well.
We hope you enjoyed our pictures from this weekend. Once again, Steve worked hard putting them up.
With love as sweet as manjar,
Janet, Steve, and Kareem

Steve and Kareem looking for Moutain Lions and Bears.
Our Kitchen. They use gas to heat the water as well as a gas stove. The Orange Cyliner is the gas container.
The Three of us, in bed, staying warm.
Yeah it was cold!
Janet arranging the blankets over the chairs and doorway to seal off the sleeping room. We sealed off the sleeping room of the cabin from the other part of the cabin to keep it warm over night. Notice Janet's pants? They look a bit like Steve's pants.... I wonder why?
Kareem Fixing the Fire. (one of many times we had to adjust the fire, Camping is not easy, even if you are in a cabin.)
Steve Taking a Nap.
Janet roasting her marshmellow. She loves Marshmellows.
Crazy.
Steve bragging to Kareem about his Roasting Marshmellow Skills.
Kareem and Steve eating their roasted Hot Dogs.
